How might the aesthetics of brutalism and transcendentalism shape a brand identity for the modern citizen? This project explores the intersection of architectural philosophy and visual design, creating a unique apparel brand concept that marries stark geometric forms with profound ideological underpinnings.
Using a minimalist color palette of black, white, and red, the work investigates the visual power of symbolism and typography. It begins with the creation of a distinctive logo – a geometric flower-like shape with an eye at its center – and evolves through the application of this symbol across various media, from posters to clothing.

The project aims to encapsulate complex ideas of citizenship, surveillance, and societal structure in a visually striking and wearable format. By combining elements of brutalist architecture with transcendental philosophy, it invites viewers to reconsider their role as citizens in an increasingly monitored world.

Key components of the project include:

  1. A series of provocative questions and statements displayed alongside the logo, challenging viewers to consider concepts of identity and authority.
  2. The development of the "Citizen" logo, which combines the "Spomenik" (a type of Yugoslav monument) with an eye symbol.
  3. Apparel designs featuring the logo in different color combinations.
  4. Poster designs that showcase the brand's aesthetic and philosophical underpinnings.

The project aims to create a brand that goes beyond mere clothing, instead serving as a platform for exploring complex ideas about the individual's place in society. It raises questions about surveillance, conformity, and the nature of citizenship in the modern world, all while maintaining a visually compelling and wearable aesthetic.
